After converting to Christianity from Islam in Sudan, she was brave throughout her ordeal when she was to be sentenced to death. She also gave birth to her daughter in prison with chains on her legs.
In July, if you recall, she and her family flew out of Sudan to Italy.The 27-year-old received a hero’s welcome when she arrived the United States yesterday. Her friends, family and well wishers cheered her and her family at the airport in Manchester, New Hampshire.
Meriam and Daniel Wani told reporters they were overwhelmed by the love.
