ARE WE ALL KEEPING QUIET WHILE THIS EPIDEMIC SPREAD?

The #BringBackOurGirls group has lamented the increasing attacks and showmanship of the Boko Haram insurgents, noting that if nothing is done fast, the people in Abuja will not be spared of the insurgency. The group, which was reacting to Boko Haram leader Abubakar Shekua's declaration of some parts of North East as a Caliphate, wondered why the federal government would keep denying the strength and the damage the terrorists are creating.

It also raised an alarm that without imminent response from the federal government to curtail the insurgency, the terrorists will not only take over the North East, it will also become a threat to the whole nation.

"Nigerians are living in denial. Many who do not live where it is happening are still denying what is happening in the North East. It is time that Nigerians wake up and realise that it is happening and something should be done fast. The Boko Haram threat is real and the threat is beyond a small community now.Lets keep up with our advocacy. It has intrinsic value. We have to continue because this advocacy is lending a voice for not only the Chibok girls but for everyone who are affected by the terrorists. There are girls out there that don't have a voice. We need to continue until these girls are brought back alive. We are urging the government to do what they are supposed to do," it said.
