APC ALLEGES THREAT TO THE LIVE OF GOVERNOR AREGBESOLA.

Representatives of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State had been allegedly alerted about the impending attack on Governor Rauf Aregbesola.The assassination will involve foreign snipers, who will target the governor during his campaign trial, Vanguard reports.
Osun APC claimed:
"The masterminds behind this plot are the party’s chieftains, from a S-West state and the opposition party’s candidate for the August 9 election in Osun… It is not clear if Abuja is involved in the plot, but sources say that security infrastructure in the country may not be unconnected."


Sources from within the opposition party were said to have told the APC that there is great consternation within the party that for as long as Aregbesola is present and visible, the election cannot be rigged. Thus sources revealed that the only option for the opponents was to get rid of Aregbesola with the help of the best professional killers.
Osun State governorship elections are to be held August 9.

It would be recalled that last week the acting governor, who is to run for re-election, expressed his confidence over his win saying that unlike the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) he has mass support of voters. However PDP candidate Iyiola Omisore insisted that Aregbesola’s days in the office are counted.
