A suspected suicide bomber was burnt a while ago at Gombe Line motor park where a bomb blast killed at least 30 people three weeks ago. Daily Trust Reports.The alleged bomber arrived the motor park with a sack, but refused to be screened by people at the entrance of the park. Daily Trust gathered. A twitter user with the handle @SS_liman seem to have witnessed the scene.
Youths in Gombe captured somebody with bomb and set him on fire near Gombe line today around 13hrs local timeHe reportedly forced his way into the premises of the park where he dropped the wired sack suspected to be an Improvised Explosive Device. After which he tried to run away with a remote control in his hands.
He was subsequently caught by the people who hung tire on him, doused him with petrol and burnt him alive.
A bold youth from among the crowd was said to have taken the risk of taking out the IED the bomber left in the park to the main road so as to limit the damage the bomb would cost if it explodes.The body of the suspect is on fire now while officers from police anti-bomb unit have arrived the scene.
